Welcome to China Rubber Conference 2008 (CRC 2008)

The Third China rubber Conference 2008 (CRC 2008), organized by China Rubber Industry Association, was successfully held in Kunming , Yunnan , China in Feb. 26-27 2008. More than 400 rubber producers, marketers, users and experts both at home and abroad came to attend this conference. The theme of CRC 2008 is sharing resources, production connecting with demand, friendly cooperation, and seeking common development. The main rubber producing countries, such as Thailand , Indonesia , Malaysia , Vietnam , India and so on, represented at this conference, especially the report of Russian synthetic rubber enterprises, which introduce the Russia 's synthetic rubber production and exports to the China . Mr. Smit, the Secretary-General of International Rubber Study Group (IRSG), also made the report on the world's natural rubber and synthetic rubber production and forecast of 2008. Comparing to the former two conferences, the CRC 2008 made some improvements in many aspects, and achieved a success, and won the delegates' praise. 　
In the conference, Mr. Li Min, general manager of Yunnan Natural Rubber Industry Co., Ltd. made the welcoming address. Mr. Ju Hongzhen, Chairman of China Rubber Industry Association, made the report on Self-Innovation & Structure Optimization to Face Policy Adjustment and Market Challenges. He said that China 's rubber industry strengthened the optimization and upgrading of the product structure in 2007, to promote the healthy development of rubber industry. He introduced the rubber consumption of tires, chemicals, carbon black, reclaimed rubber, non-tire rubber automotive accessories and so on; he also pointed that the country's economic policy adjustments have a profound impact on rubber industry's scientific development, while international trade protectionism would promote China's rubber industry to step into international market more scientifically, and more effectively. China 's rubber industry unswervingly maintains the sustainable development.
Mr. Fan Jianping, director of State Information Center , made the report on China 's five major economic trend outlooks in 2008.
Mr. Fan Rende, Secretary-General of China Rubber Industry Association, made the report on China rubber industry's status, development and the demand forecast of 2008. In 2007, China 's tire and rubber industry continued to maintain the increasing trend although export tax rebates were low and the price of rubber raw materials kept high. In 2008, the auto industry will still be the main force driving the development of China rubber industry. Mr. Fan forecasted that rubber industry overall growth rate of 2008 would be around 12%, the tyre growth rate 15%.
On the aspects of nature rubber, Yunnan Natural Rubber Industry Group Co., Ltd., Hainan Farms State and Guangdong Farms State Group respectively introduced the natural rubber production and market development of Yunnan , Hainan and Guangdong . Mr. Chen Kexin, Distribution Productivity Promotion Center of China Commerce, made the report on analysis & prospects of China 's rubber prices of 2007 and 2008. SINOCHEN INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION made the report on China natural rubber imports & exports, the problems existed in rubber trade and the suggestions. Tokyo Commodity Exchange made the forecasts for the natural rubber market.
About the aspect of synthetic rubber, Mr. Zhou Wenrong, deputy secretary general of China Synthetic Rubber Industry Association, made the report on synthetic rubber supply of China market in 2007 and the development in 2008; Sinochem Corporation made the report on SBS market status in 2007 and the forecasts of 2008.
The experts made the comments on tires, which is the largest rubber consumption products. Mr. Chen Zhihong, from Technical and Economic Committee of CRIA, made the report on China tyre industry development and the impacts on the demand of natural rubber and synthetic rubber. Hangzhou Zhongce Rubber Company, as one of tyre producing companies, made the report on tyre producers' requirements for rubber quality and suppliers' advices.
The CRC 2008 made a comprehensive analysis from rubber raw materials to rubber products, connecting up & downstream development of China rubber industry, which has a great significance for rubber enterprises to set up the plan and raw materials purchase of 2008.
During the conference, rubber producers and traders can meet directly and make a face-to-face trade negotiation.
Lots of experts gathered in this conference and made the brilliant speech. Comparing to last two conferences, much more delegates came to attend CRC 2008 with more positively. Meanwhile, rubber raw materials exhibition was also held during this conference.
