The Third China Rubber Conference 2008 held in Kunming , China

The Third China rubber Conference 2008 (CRC 2008), organized by China Rubber Industry Association, was successfully held in Kunming , Yunnan , China in Feb. 26-27 2008. More than 400 rubber producers, marketers, users and experts both at home and abroad came to attend this conference. The theme of CRC 2008 is sharing resources, production connecting with demand, friendly cooperation, and seeking common development. The main rubber producing countries, such as Thailand , Indonesia , Malaysia , Vietnam , India and so on, represented at this conference, especially the report of Russian synthetic rubber enterprises, which introduce the Russia 's synthetic rubber production and exports to the China . Mr. Smit, the Secretary-General of International Rubber Study Group (IRSG), also made the report on the world's natural rubber and synthetic rubber production and forecast of 2008. Comparing to the former two conferences, the CRC 2008 made some improvements in many aspects, and achieved a success, and won the delegates' praise.

China Rubber Industry Association, which was approved and registered by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People's Republic of China with full independent juristic liabilities, is a social organization founded by national-wide rubber enterprises and institutes based on the principle of free will and equality. The association was founded in 1985, currently it has over 800 memberships with their business activities covering tire, bike tire, rubber goods, latex, hose and belt, rubber shoes, rubber machines, rubber raw materials, trade companies, institutes, universities and so on.

Since its foundation the association has been playing an important role to help its members in conveying their desires and requirements, protecting their legal rights and interests, promoting constitution, law, state regulations and promoting social moral customs, etc. It's also a bridge between central government and enterprises.

Tasks of China Rubber Industry Association

Organize, collect and transfer national and abroad science and technology information, economical information, publish journals and other information materials.
Organize and take part in rubber industry investigation, and give suggestion to related government departments in making rubber industry development plans, economic policies and related laws.
Promote the exploitation and application of new products, new technology and new materials. Organize the exchange and wide-application of new technology and advanced experience.
Organize personnel training, promote the exchange of professionals.
Organize or take part in various technical & economical evaluations, providing various technical, economical consultations, etc.
Organize and take part in the international exchange of science and technology information, trade and economy information, take part in international exhibition and visiting activities, promote the exchange and cooperation with international counterparts.
Organize and take part in market investigations about technology and equipment import, raw materials and products import and export, give suggestions to related government departments.
Organize and take part in market investigations about raw materials demand and supply, balance status and change, correspond business relations between enterprises, report production and management problems of rubber industry to central government, help members overcome their difficulties.
Carry out other work entrusted by government.
